We are committed to ensuring visitors have a fun and safe experience during this year's Joint Service Open House. In order to ensure everyone's safety, we ask that you observe the following guidelines.

Weapons are prohibited. All persons, vehicles and hand carried items are subject to search at anytime while on the installation. There is a no tolerance standard for fighting or protesting at anytime. Failure to follow the rules will result in prosecution and removal from the installation. Narcotics and paraphernalia are strictly prohibited. Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas that are clearly marked. Smoking around any aircraft is strictly prohibited at anytime. All patrons are highly encouraged to wear sunscreen.

The following items are acceptable to bring with you to the show.

Directions to FedEx Field


Northern Virginia
I-495/I-95 North to exit 15B (Central Ave. West). Turn right on Garrett A. Morgan Blvd.

Montgomery and Howard Counties
I-495/I-95 South to I-95 exit 17B Landover Road turn left on Brightseat Road.

Washington, DC
East Capitol Street to Central Avenue. Turn left on Garrett A. Morgan Blvd.

 

 

Personal Transportation


You are not permitted to enter Andrews AFB in your personal vehicle. Visitors are asked to drive to FedEx Field (directions below) and park. There will be buses authorized to enter the base. Buses will leave FedEx Field beginning at 7:30 a.m. and drop you off at the airfield. These buses will operate continuously.

The last bus will leave FedEx Field for Andrews AFB at 2 p.m. No one will be able to enter the base after that last bus leaves for Andrews. Note: All buses are equipped for special needs passengers.

Buses will begin returning passengers to FedEx field beginning at 9 a.m. The pick-up area is located at the north end of the airfield. At the end of the show, please move to the pick up area immediately.

Public Transportation

Those visitors traveling by Metro can get off at the Branch Avenue station. Buses will be provided for you to enter the base. Buses will begin leaving Branch Avenue for Andrews AFB at 7:30 a.m.

The last bus departs the Branch Avenue Metro stop for Andrews AFB at 2 p.m. No one will be able to enter the base after that last bus leaves for Andrews. Note: All buses are equipped for special needs visitors.

Buses will begin returning passengers to the Branch Avenue Metro beginning at 9 a.m. The pick-up area is located at the south end of the airfield. At the end of the show, please move to the pick up area immediately.

Pedestrian traffic will not be allowed to enter or exit the installation.
