AIRCRAFT / AIRCREW WORKSHEET

2007 JOINT SERVICES OPEN HOUSE (JSOH)

18-20 MAY ANDREWS AFB, MARYLAND

 

Please take the time to read the information below before filling out the worksheet.

1.   All aircraft will plan to arrive no later than  Wednesday, 16 May, by 1800 hours,  and depart no earlier than Monday 21 May unless prior coordination is obtained.  Arrival schedule will be formalized the first week in May.

2.   All aircraft commanders will obtain their own PPR #s from Andrews AFB base operations: DSN 858-3411/3413 or comm 301-981-3411/3413.  Completion of this form does not constitute landing and show participation approval.

3.  Upon arrival you will receive a detailed welcome packet and we’ll get you set up for your stay.

4.  Civilian aircraft including Warbird are required DoD paperwork information is attached (DD Forms 2400/2401/2402) or you can request that we mail you hard copies of the forms for your completion.  YOU MUST GET TSA CLEARANCE TO ENTER THE DC AREA, see item 5.   Please consult NOTAMS and click here for the forms.  DD Form 2400   DD Form 2401  DD Form 2402 You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader for these fillable forms.  The forms need to be faxed in advance to 301-981-3412, and a hard copy with the original signatures needs to be mail to:

5.  Civilian aircraft must consult current NOTAMS for information on obtaining a waiver to access the Washington DC airspace.    A PPR number does not grant you approval to enter the Washington DC TFR.  TSA waiver form is now an automated process. You must log on to https://waiver.tfr.faa.gov/ewaivers/external/welcome.jsp and establish an account by selecting "register as a new user".  Fill out the information required to establish your account, upon completion, here are a few items particular to the JSOH.

Once registered you will be directed to your account page. 

1.  At the top, select "new request" and from the drop down selection, select "National Capital Region Waiver"

2.  Fill out the information requested and use these specific items for:

a.  In the "Event Name" block put "ADW AFB, Joint Service Open House".

b.  In the "Event Date", put your arrival date.

c.  In the "Flight Description" block, put the dates you plan to be at the show, i.e. "request effective dates 16 through 21 May".

3.  On to step 2 where it asks information about the crew and passengers.  Be prepared, it asks for social security numbers for the crew and license numbers for the pilots.

4.  Step 3 is your submission.  TSA has stated it will take less than 2 weeks to process the request, but please don't wait until the last minute.

5. The website states you will need 7 days to process, but in reality a 30 day lead time will ensure you have it in plenty of time.  It is the aircrew's responsibility to submit (via the website listed above) and ensure processing of the paperwork with TSA.

6. Civilian aircraft doing aerobatics require approved civil aircraft landing permit on file at HQ USAF/XOO-ca  (see AFI 10-1001 for procedures) or Andrews AFB prior to arrival.  You must complete DD forms 2400/2401/2402.

7.  All civilian aircraft expect EOD sweep of aircraft on 459th ramp (east side of ADW) upon arrival then taxi to show area.

8.  Please do not make your own reservations with the lodging office. All lodging arrangements will be made through the JSOH committee.

9.  At least one member of performing aircraft aircrew will need to be at the safety briefing each morning.

10.Aircrew members may sell souvenirs at their static display, however, items must be in good taste, must have your organizational logo / unit emblem on it and you must obtain an approval letter from Andrews AFB prior to selling these items.  An example letter can be found by clicking here.
